Radisson Blu Hotel, Bucharest is excited to announce the appointment of lady Chef Federica Piccioni as the new Chef of the Caffe Citta, its Italian restaurant. 

About Chef Federica Piccioni

Chef Federica Piccioni is an Italian national  with an exceptional track record in hospitality and culinary arts. 

With experience in the well-known international hotel chains from Middle East such as Sheraton Doha, Intercontinental Abu Dhabi or Cairo, Art Rotana Bahrain as well as Italian restaurants in Italy, the Chef Piccioni brings with her the passion and flavor of the Italian cuisine. 

“We are delighted to welcome lady Chef Federica in our team! Although she is very young, she has an impressive career in the hospitality and culinary arts field that is completed by the cross-cultural experience. This will make her a valuable asset for our Caffe Citta restaurant” said Markus Kraus, the General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel Bucharest and Park Inn by Radisson Bucharest Hotel & Residence. 

Awarded “Best lady Chef in Cairo town” in 2010, and winning the golden medal on Doha Food Festival Cooking Show in 2012, and inspired by the star Chef Walter Eynard, the Chef Federica brings the culinary art to high-level standards. 

Her favorite specialty - risotto with porcini and truffle - comes fromUmbria, the region where she was born, known as well for the best Alba white truffles, beautiful landscapes and fresh and qualitative products. 

“I am very happy to be joining the team of the Italian restaurant Caffe Citta within Radisson Blu and share my experience and creative vision within such a well-established hotel!” said lady Chef Federica. 

The Rezidor Group’s initiative ”Women in leadership” aims to change the way employees work through a more flexible approach to working conditions, mobility, and personalized development plans. Thus, by the end of the year, 30% of the top positions in the company are expected to be occupied by women.

About Caffe Citta – Italian restaurant

Located in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Bucharest, the Italian restaurant Caffe Citta offers a large variety of specialties from the Italian cuisine. The restaurant was also awarded with the “Italian Hospitality Brand” distinction by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Romania. The menu is filled with tempting pasta, risotto, pizza, antipasti and other traditional dishes. Every month, the restaurant promotes an Italian region, so its clients can travel with senses from Lombardi to Tuscany up to Sicily. The newly high-end designed outdoor terrace is open during the summer season from 09:00 am for light breakfast, and completes the experience of savoring the Italian flavors in an al fresco setting.
