Popovici Niţu & Asociaţii reconfirmed once again its reputation as top M&A legal advisor in Romania, by deal value and number of deals successfully concluded in 2011, according to DealWatch League Tables.

• Auchan & Immochan Imobiliare on the acquisition of a former industrial platform in Bucharest (the former factory Tricodava) from Spanish investor Pryconsa;

• Bramerton Investments SRL on the acquisition of 70% share stake in Q’NET International SA;

• Cargill on the Romanian part of the acquisition of Provimi from private equity fund Permira;
• Fresenius Group on the 100% acquisition of Renamed Companies, which included Renamed Dialcare SRL, Renamed Medical Service II, Renamed Nefrodial SRL, Renamed Nefrodiamed SRL;
• Filasa International on its €780m investment in 11 wind farms, with a total capacity of 516 MW;
• Eolenvest on the acquisition of three wind farms located in Brăila, southeastern Romania, with a total projected capacity exceeding 400 MW;
• Oresa Ventures on the acquisition – through Somaco SA – of the business of G&D Teius;
• Benevo Capital Corporation & CD Capital Partners on the sale of 50% in the Vic City Project to NEPI, for the development of Victoria City Center in Bucharest;
• SIF Banat Crişana on the sale of its shareholding stake in BCR to Erste Group;
• A group of Cyprus investors on the sale of Oxigen Plus SRL to Linde Gaz Romania.
